History Of Universal Studios

Music Studio

Universal Studios or Universal Pictures or Universal City Studios is one of the largest American film studios. It was established in 1906 when Carl Laemmle started his first theater in Chicago. He started by playing short silent movies. He later switched to production and distribution. To start the production of his own films, he opened the Independent Moving Picture Company in New York in 1909. His first work, Hiawatha, was released in the same year.

Laemmle’s dream was to make his presence felt all over America. His next target was the west where he bought the Nestor Studio in Hollywood. He formed the Universal Film Manufacturing Company on June 8, 1912. This company which was New York based, incorporated the already existing Independent Moving Picture Company and five other companies into it. By that time he had already conquered the east and the west coast of America and now he decided to centralize his production companies. He asked Isadore Bernstein to buy plots in Los Angeles. The two hundred and thirty acre land bought became the Universal City, the entertainment center of the world. Although film production here began in 1914 and in 1915 it was officially inaugurated on March 15, 1915. The first production of this studio was Damon and Pythias. Many films were released after the studio opened including comedies, drama, action, and adventure.

Are Large, Expensive Recording and Mastering Studios Worth It?

Posted by admin
Music Studio

When you think of a recording studio, generally a certain image comes to mind. We conjur up thoughts of large analog mixing consoles and tons and tons of rack hardware, instruments of all types and multiple rooms. And to be honest, the common perception in the world of music, especially in genres outside of more minimalistic styles of music (hip-hop, etc.), is that you can only get an industry-quality professional recording in a large, multi-room and expensive studio. But in today’s world of professional audio, things are changing. Thus, the topic of this article is a question that is on the minds of many musicians, bands and solo artists. That question is “Do I need to record in a large, multi-million dollar studio in order to get a professional high-quality recording of my music?” The answer to this is a two-part answer.

The first thing to keep in mind is that there are certain styles of music that lend themselves more to a larger recording facility. For example a large jazz or orchestral ensemble is very difficult to record in a small facility and players often need that “line-of-sight” with each other while playing. They also need to be in the same room playing at the same time. So for styles of music that require that, a larger facility may be more suited to recording. There may, however, be exceptions to this general rule.

Making Your Own Beats Online: Online Music Production Studios

Music Studio

You may not have ever heard of me, but I’ve been making my own beats for over five years now. I started when I was younger by recording sounds into Windows Sound Recorder and using the basic mixing features available to mix VERY crude acapella beats. I mean very crude :) . Anyway, I’ve evolved slightly since then, having mastered all the major music production studio programs like FL studio, Reason, and Cubase.

For somebody who has been making beats for years these programs are great: they allow unlimited customization. However, this customization comes at a cost.. I’ve realized that it’s nearly impossible for people to learn how to make beats with these kinds of music production studios. They require extensive technical audio knowledge, which makes for an extremely steep learning curve.

My business depended on teaching people how to make their own beats, and I was having trouble doing that with the available software. Fortunately, some really smart guys changed all of that not too long ago. With the advent of social media and community-based websites, they developed one of the best music production communities around. Unlike most sites, which would become popular for about a month and then disappear off the face of the earth, they planned ahead, and they planned to offer much more value than these “other” sites. Since the day they launched, the Sonic Producer website has been an astonishing success.
