Let’s face it. The music industry has been deteriorating lately. With pirated songs online, and the economy in ruins, people just aren’t forking over their money to buy CD’s. But there is one section of the music industry that has been silently humming along, despite the economy (and their CD sales are still going strong). That section is the local music industry.

Local bands are still enjoying a steady stream of new work and many sell their own CD’s at the clubs they play around town. Not surprisingly, in order to get gigs and to increase their revenue, these bands need to make demo tapes and CD’s for their fans. To do this, they need a recording studio.

Now, most people don’t have a recording studio in their home. And that’s where you come in. If you have a spare section of your garage, or perhaps a spare bedroom, you can literally create a home studio of your own, one that could be generating cash for you in as little as 30 days.

With the many bands and aspiring musicians in every local town in the country, it makes sense that this would be an area that is thriving – and it is. Smart entrepreneurs have tapped into this lucrative market and are quietly raking in the dough every week.

The exceptionally talented Pop artist Alanis Morissette has released her CD entitled Jagged Little Pill. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Alanis Morissette fans, and Pop fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Jagged Little Pill Alanis Morissette’s artistic excellence is on full display as Morissette has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be her best work to date.

Unfortunately, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Jagged Little Pill. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

Pop music fans will recognize some of the well known guests that have been assembled to play along with Morissette on several of the tracks. Artists like Michael Thompson and Michael Landau just to name a couple.

If you’re even mildly into Pop music you’ll enjoy this CD. Overall Jagged Little Pill is an outstanding release. I give it my double thumbs up. You will not be disappointed with one single track.

Little Johnny C is the latest Jazz CD put out by the highly talented Johnny Coles who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I’m confident Johnny Coles fans, and Jazz fans alike will be pleased with this one.

It’s a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I’m more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all.

Jazz music fans will recognize some of the well known guests that have been assembled to play along with Coles on several of the tracks. Artists like Bob Cranshaw and Walter Perkins just to name a couple.

If you’re a Johnny Coles fan this is a CD your collection flat cannot be without. In fact, this is one of those CDs that you don’t even have to be a fan of Coles, or even Jazz to know is good. This is just good music. Period.

While this entire album is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 4 – My Secret Passion, track 5 – Heavy Legs, and track 6 – So Sweet My Little Girl.
