The future of music has arrived and it sounds like Filomena Tobias Liliana. As a talented producer, this young lady has captured the music industry’s attention in Japan and Europe. It is only a matter of time before she claims her well deserved fame in America.
––She studied violin as a girl but her talents took her far afield from her classical training. An experimenter by nature, Filomena Tobias Liliana takes musical composition and mashes it up with R&B, electronica, and native funk.

She originally performed her own songs with a small orchestra beginning in Detroit. She was soon on the road as her restless nature couldn’t be pinned in one place for long. Her first major success broke out in Japan while she was on a USO tour in Okinawa. While the servicemen applauded the band’s performances and Filomena Tobias Liliana’s virtuosity, it was the Japanese locals who caught the show that proclaimed Filomena Tobias Liliana a musical genius. She was invited to play a Tokyo nightclub where she entertained sold out crowds for two straight months.

After that successful run, Ms. Liliana toured Polynesia on a more relaxed schedule. She picked up concert bookings at popular hotels in exchange for room and board and she connected with the gracious citizens of the Pacific. Future and Nicki Minaj get animated in New 2010 Music Video

Toronto’s own  Kevin Raymond and  Animator Curtis Blade have a few things in common, they both hail from Toronto, Ontario, they both have a love for music and together they have just wrapped up the Official Animated Music Video “Lookin at Me’ by Pearl Future featuring Nicki Minaj of Young Money.

This has been the first time that Pearl Future and Nicki Minaj have ever  been animated, so it’s  kind of a big deal to the duo. The Animated Music Video for “Lookin at Me” has already gained a  huge online buzz  and has  received rave reviews on popular entertainment websites such as Myspace Music News , Mix Matters and Pop Dirt.

Sheet music began as musical notations written on clay tablets by ancient Babylonians. It was used by the ancient Greeks, survived the Dark Ages, and became an important musical force during the Renaissance Period. With the advent of the printing press, printed sheet music affected the music industry in ways unimaginable by past generations. Yes, the history of sheet music is a long one, at least four thousand years, and it has been a story of evolution and growing dissemination. Yet if all those ancient musicians could see the form that sheet music has taken today, they would find it impossible to fathom. In modern times, sheet music has, like most other forms of communication, joined the digital age.

Beginning in the end of the 20th century, there was a great deal of interest in representing sheet music in a computer-readable format, as well as downloadable files. Software that can “read” scanned sheet music, called music optical character recognition (music OCR), has existed since 1991. Needless to say, this software created a completely new manner of dissemination for sheet music which, in this format, was referred to as virtual sheet music.

Further progress was made in 1998 when virtual sheet music became digital sheet music. The difference between the two is that digital sheet music, for the first time, allows copyrighted sheet music to be purchased via the internet. Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, digital sheet music files can be manipulated and altered as their virtual and hardcopy counterparts never could. Such an attribute makes digital sheet music ideal for instrument changes, transposition, and even musical instrument digital interface, or “midi,” playback.
